Let me set the scene for you. It rains here. It rains often. My bike is my main mode of transportation during the day. Since it does rain often, it means you have to bike in the rain.
It was a drizzly morning, and I was off to the gym. If I didn’t go to the gym in poor weather, I wouldn’t attend half the time. I set out with my gym shoes in a grocery sack in my all-too-cute bike basket so I wouldn’t be working out in wet shoes. I had a rain jacket on, so I thought I’d be golden.
It had been raining overnight, so there were a number of puddles. I’m nearly to the gym, the rain had picked up and a speedy little car drove right past me, baptizing me with dirty road water. I worked out in dry shoes, but my pants were wet.
The solution: Today I purchased a pair of rain pants. Stylish, they are not, but I will be able to bike, possibly get baptized by a car and stay dry.

Each day has a new learning curve. Looks like a great solution.
